1. Create your account
Open escanor.in and choose Sign up free. You can continue with Google or use an email. A workspace is created for you: it holds your integrations, your team and your plan.
2. Connect your first integration
- Open Integrations in the dashboard.
- Pick a provider (GitHub is a good first one) and choose Connect.
- Follow the prompt. Most providers use a sign-in window; a few ask for an API token and tell you where to create one.
- When it is connected, the provider shows its projects, repositories or services. Give it a minute the first time.
If a provider shows needs reconnect, its token was refused. Reconnect the intended provider account, then verify a read operation. See Integrations for why this happens.
3. Ask the assistant
Open Assistant (or Chat in the phone app) and ask something about what you connected:
- "What was deployed in the last day?"
- "Which of my repositories have failing checks?"
- "Summarise the open incidents."
The assistant tells you what it looked at. Review proposed changes and the configured approval policy before allowing them.
4. Install the desktop app (optional)
Download it from the home page, open it and sign in with the same account. It runs the assistant on your own computer and can run local models. See Desktop app.
5. Install the phone app and pair it
- Install the Android APK (or the iPhone build) from the home page and sign in with the same account.
- In the desktop app, open Phone to see a pairing code and QR.
- In the phone app, open Computers > Add, scan the QR or type the code.
Your phone now sees that computer, can chat with it and can approve what it asks. Details in Computers and pairing.
6. Give your agent the tools (optional)
Create an MCP token under Settings > Developer > API and MCP keys and add the Escanor MCP to your agent. The steps are in Escanor MCP.
If something does not work
Start with Troubleshooting. The most common causes are an integration that needs to be reconnected and a phone that is signed in to a different account than the computer.
