v1.26 · The new Escanor app, with notifications that work
Published- The Escanor app is now built with Flutter (app id com.escanorlabs.escanor) and replaces the earlier web-based app. It installs next to the old one: sign in again, then remove the old app.
- Notifications reach your phone: approvals, incidents, automatic checks and team messages arrive through Firebase Cloud Messaging. The app asks once whether it may notify you; change it any time in Settings > Notifications.
- Two kinds of automation: Always checking (built-in checks for failed deployments, new incidents, tools that stop syncing and health drops, on for everything you connect, with an optional "also fix what is safe") and Set by you (your own automations and schedules).
- Chats on your machines work on their own: they answer their own safe permission prompts, check their work and go round again until done.
- Machines and Computers are one tab; one chat screen for Escanor AI and machines, with search inside chats.
- Everything reads inside the app (setup guide, About, legal documents), and What's new appears after every update.
Availability & limitations
- A new app id: Android installs it next to the old Remote Harness app (1.23 and older) rather than over it. Test builds of 1.24 or 1.25 from CI were debug-signed, so uninstall those once first.
- The phone-control APK includes an accessibility service, so Play Protect blocks it when installed from a file; it installs normally once the app is on Google Play.
- Push delivery was verified on the server (Firebase accepts and routes messages) and the Firebase config is checked inside both APKs; no physical-device smoke test in this release.

v1.23 · In-app policies match the website (2026-10-08)
Withdrawn upstream- In-app privacy policy, terms and accessibility statement match the website (policy version 2026-10-08): consent notice, data processing agreement, dark-patterns self-audit and accessibility report. You are asked to accept the updated policies once.
- The privacy policy link points at https://www.escanor.in/privacy.
- Keeps 1.22's clean install, payment-app protection and release signing.
Availability & limitations
- Coming from 1.19 or older: uninstall the old app once first (those were debug builds with a different signature). 1.20 and later update in place.
- The phone-control APK includes an accessibility service, so Play Protect blocks it when installed from a file; it installs normally once the app is on Google Play.
- Installed over 1.21 and launched on an Android 17 emulator; no physical-device smoke test in this release.

Availability & limitations
- Unsigned and not on the App Store: sign and sideload it with your own Apple ID using Sideloadly or AltStore (re-sign every 7 days on a free Apple ID).
- Built and launched in the iOS simulator; not yet tested on a physical iPhone.
